The Russian market, that has long attracted US businessmen primarily by its size, has been facing a sharp decline in investment activity during recent three years. Alexis Rodzianko, President of the Russian-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, tried to analyze why there are so few American retail chains in Russia and whether mega supermarkets similar to the well-known European brands will appear in Russia in the future.
