Wildberries founder called Russia’s wealthiest lady

755712259845403.jpegTatyana Bakalchuk, the Wildberries owner, outstripped Elena Baturina in the Forbes ranking of Russia's richest women. Estimated at USD1.4bn, her fortune increased by USD400 million over the year, while Baturina’s fortune of USD1.2bn remained unchanged in the same period.
The list was updated after the Forbes TOP 10 online sellers rating had been published. According to it, Wildberries’ turnover grew by 88% in 2019 to reach RUB223.5bn (USD3.63 bln). In 2019, the company fulfilled twice as many orders as in 2018.

Bakalchuk first appeared in the Forbes list in 2018 with her net worth estimated at USD600mn then. Baturina, ex-owner of the largest Moscow developers, headed the Forbes ranking of the richest women many years in a row.

Forbes magazine recognized the owner of the Russian online retailer Wildberries Tatyana Bakalchuk as the richest woman in Russia. She overtook the leader of the last year's list businesswoman Elena Baturina, whose fortune reached $ 1.2 billion. The company skyrocketed its turnover by 88% in 2019 and made a profit of 223.5 billion rubles, which allowed Mrs. Bakalchuk to increase her fortune to $ 1.4 billion and top the Forbes list.
